Synopsis:
Twenty years ago, fireman Hank McAllister disappeared. When Kathleen McAllister sees a front-page photo in the Chicago Tribune, she is convinced the man pictured is her long lost brother Hank. Days later, the man in the photo is witnessed saving someone’s life, igniting a citywide search to find and reward this unlikely hero whom they christen, John Christmas. To find him, Kathleen teams up with the Tribune photographer, but she discovers that at one time, there was someone else in the photo - a Christmas elf whose likeness has vanished from the picture. Who’s the “vanishing elf”? It’s the mischievous angel Max (Peter Falk reprises his role), our favourite “binder of destiny” from A Town Without Christmas. This Christmas, he brings five troubled and lonely people together, reuniting a family and inspiring two people who’d given up hope, to fall in love.
